Arluk II
Harvesting Cold-Water Arctic Turbot
The Arluk II is a fixed-gear ground fishing vessel registered in Iqaluit. It fishes for Greenland Halibut (turbot) off Baffin Island from May to November each year. This factory freezer vessel was built in 1992. Baffin Fisheries purchased the vessel in 2013 and undertook a comprehensive overhaul and refit to prepare it for turbot fishing. The Arluk II can accommodate up to 17 crewmembers.
