Baffin Fisheries a 100% Inuit owned company, and largest fishing enterprise in Northern Canada, has an immediate opening for a TRAWL BOSS with experience in factory-freezer multi-species trawling.  

Qualifications:

The successful applicant must have experience and knowledge of the following:

• Trawl Deck operations on an offshore otter trawling / freezing vessel
• Single and double trawling operations for both Shrimp and Turbot
• Deep sea fishing Winch systems
• Reading Trawl Drawings
• Trawl construction, repair and mending
• Ordering of deck equipment and supplies
• Supervising Deck Crew
• Commitment to HSE
• Certification in Crane and Forklift Operation is an asset

Mandatory Requirements:

The successful applicant must hold the following valid certification:

• Transport Canada MED’s / STCW Endorsements
• Transport Canada Marine Medical
• Transport Canada Seaman’s Book
• Passport
• Transport Canada Bridge Watch Rating is an asset

Rotational work which includes working in port with members of the opposite rotation as required.
